Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to express my huge disappointment about the service I was given the last time I went to your restaurant in October 2021.
On that occasion, I decided to get off the bus since I happened to be with my aunt and I wanted to enjoy some quality time with her. As you may know, there are not so many gluten -free options around, so we saw “Sintaxis” with good eyes since the whole menu is thought for celiac people. Once there, we chose to sit at a table outside due to the pandemic. Not only did it take forever for someone to take our order, but also the guy who came wasn’t polite at all. After what felt like an eternity, we got our order and, of course, it wasn’t quite what we had asked for. When I kindly told the waiter that my strawberry smoothie had orange on it (though the menu didn’t say it had that ingredient, I had specifically told him that I wanted no citric in my smoothie because “Sintaxis” usually adds citric to literally everything), he got defensive and made me feel like I was the one who was wrong by saying: “I can get you another one, but it will be made the same way as this one”. It got to the point that my aunt didn’t believe my words but when she tasted it, she noticed it had more orange than strawberries in it. Imagine my dissatisfaction when he didn’t replace the smoothie and finally, I was forced to ask for a coffee so I could get something to drink (of course, he charged both products/orders).
Unfortunately, this sort of behaviour comes as no shock, since lately the quality of the restaurant has been decreasing: less food for more money, poorer quality, the same ingredients for every dish and the most upsetting service. I’ve been following you for years, my whole family has always celebrated their birthday parties at your restaurant but, sadly, nowadays, there are better options to have a good time and enjoy good food.
Though I didn’t post it on social media, I insist on your diligence to manage these issues. For me, it was my last time eating at your table.
Yours faithfully,
Lucila
